Holy Spirit, move on our World.

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord” (NKJV Heb 12:14).

Mary Hunt practicing classical organ worship music.

I hear the Holy Spirit, as others also say, calling us to new and surprising things. Pray and Witness daily. He will use us in new places of ministry, spiritually and physically. Do not seek provision for these, he will so provide his way. Also, prayer is very powerful, as incense rising to his Throne. Believe by faith, know he hears and acts on every prayer divinely, whether you see or do not see visibly. Tend to scriptural teaching. Rid yourselves of things that block God. Dwell in his Divine Love. “Forgive fast! Love slowly!” as some say.

A Gift. Your salvation or religious faith does not depend on church, doctrine, works, good deeds, prayer, reading the Bible. These things will not save you. Only your relationship with his wonderful person will save you, Jesus Messiah, the Son of God. He gives this to you as a free gift, you can not earn it. Ask him. Repent of your sins, and believe wholly in him. Receive the gift of his loving relationship. Practice the daily Presence of God.

Consider, 150,000-180,000 people die worldwide everyday. How many actually expect death today? Have you ever helped anyone prepare for death? How many live for Jesus Messiah? How many actually enter Heaven? Most people, I've seen, die as they live, in love or hate. Why is there a Hell? Who goes there? Who goes to Heaven? What does God's Word say? And what is your destiny?

Why these severe winter storms? The Northeast is the most unchurched attending, non-Bible believing section of the USA. Even TV News surveys have reflected this. Does God care? Time to turn to Jesus Messiah and reflect on God. Job writes,

From the chamber of the South comes the whirlwind, And cold from the scattering winds of the North. By the breath of God ice is given, And the broad waters are frozen. Also with moisture He saturates the thick clouds; He scatters His bright clouds. And they swirl about, being turned by His guidance, That they may do whatever He commands them On the face of the whole earth. He causes it to come, Whether for correction, Or for His land, Or for mercy” (NKJV, Job 37:9-13).

Pornography is a great deception gripping the world, society, and the church. Pornography hinders a man's love relationship with God, as it hinders and hurts the love relationship with his wife. Likewise, this occurs with women as well as men. This tears children, marriages, and families. Pornography is the addiction link to world prostitution and trafficking. God warns,

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord” (NKJV Heb 12:14).

Witness Report. My brother's feet and my hands were very cold this morning as we two friends ministered and prayed for healing in the town market barn. Jesus was standing with us from our starting prayer. We talked with many people, a Jewish man, Philippine woman, couple of Spanish ladies, a seasoned Veteran crew chief from a C-130, teens, singles, the elderly, mothers, children, dads, many women and many men. “I also send the children,” Jesus whispered to me earlier. They too are important. Oh yes, four or five truckers came in separately at different times to ask for red witness stickers for their trucks. Go figure! We used Arthur Blessitt reds as well as Way of the Master witness dollars and pennies. Adults and children loved them. We gave out 117 reds even in the cold. How can you be so cold and have so much fun?

Must Christians pray for the World? I call it World Power Prayer!
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for All Men, for Kings and All who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires All Men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for All, to be testified in due time” (NKJV 1 Tim 2:1-6).

Must Christians actively witness, teach, and preach the Word?
I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.
Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables” (NKJV 1 Tim 4:1-4).

Too many Police Officers are attacked. Lord, divinely protect our just officers who serve our neighborhoods and our nation to uphold our laws. Remind them to pray. Bring them home safely to their families each day. God bless our nation.

God of Love, I pray for your Spirit to move on this Whole World.

Christians Evangelizing Muslims

-->
Evangelizing Muslims is a Calling God will Honor.

Behold, a sower went forth to sow.”

The Cross and the Crescent (excerpt): For all kinds of reasons, evangelizing the Islamic world presents a tough challenge. But it is no more impossible than evangelizing the Roman world was for the first disciples. The apostle Peter tells us that evangelism is the main reason for the establishment of the Church (1 Peter 2:9-10). A glance at the book of Acts will show that the early believers evangelized fearlessly (Acts 2:8, 4:20,29; 8:4, 13:1-4). Every Christian sharing in the Lord's Supper is reminded that “as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes” (1 Cor 11:26).

God never orders the impossible. When he commands the Church to evangelize to the ends the earth, He equips believers with what it takes to obey. This is why He must be obeyed without reservation. You cannot call Him “Lord,” and say “no” to Him. The Lord does not take a “no” from His followers; to call God “Lord” and then say “no” to Him is a contradiction in terms.

When the Lord orders, He empowers His people to obey.
Who ever goes to War at his own expense?” asked Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:7. What is more, when we obey Him, He guarantees the results. He is always on the throne. Before Jesus delegated his disciples to witness for Him, He told them, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth” (Matthew 28:18). To those who obey and go, He says, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20).

Also, remember that you are not the one doing the conversion work. You are sowing the seed of the word of God. In the parable Jesus told in Matthew 13:1-9, nobody asked the sower to check if the ground was good or thorny or stony. His job was to scatter grain. In the same way, the conversion of the heart is something only the Holy Spirit can accomplish.

Paul had no delusions about this. He asked the Corinthians, “What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you come to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building” (1 Corinthians 3:5-9).

Ways To Witness To the World

People watch what you do and remember how they feel about you, far more than they hear what you say.

Living for Jesus is Serving Others
(Photo c. Bill Hunt).

Live in the Spirit, not in the flesh.
How: Shine with the Fruits of the Spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Gal 5:22 NIV).

Love as Jesus Loved.
How: “Love each other as I have loved you” (John 15:12 NIV). Walk as Jesus walked (per 1 John 2:6). To do so, you must know the Jesus of the Bible.

Pray Daily for the World.
How: God's love is not limited to your locale. Men severely lack faith to affect the whole world or their own nation. But, Prayer is the greatest Power on Earth. “Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven” (Matt 6:10 NIV).

Be One with God.
How: Is this not God's objective for us? (per John 17:21). Living Love for God and Man is the great commands. Faith is the power. Prayer is the means.

Carry a Repentant Heart.
How: No man is without sin, except Jesus. We must know who He is, the Creator, and who we are, the creatures.
This is the one I esteem; he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word” (Isa 66:2 NIV).

Always Forgive.
How: As Jesus said, “But if you do not forgive men their sins, your father will not forgive your sins” (Matt 6:15 NIV). Men widely disregard Jesus' warning.

Don't take Offense.
How: Golden Keys to Love. “It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs” (1 Cor 13:5 NIV).

Be a Rock of Integrity.
How: “Till I die, I will not deny my integrity” (Job 27:5 NIV). “Surely you desire truth in the inner parts” (Ps 51:6 NIV).

Listen to the Heart of Others.
How: “Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak” (James 1:19 NIV). Sensitive, sacrificial listening, means to be more willing to hear another, than yourself.

Trust in God with all your Heart.
How: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight” (Prov 3:9-10 NIV).

God Speaks to Man—Mary Hunt

Have you Great Love? World Pastors are calling for

Men and Women of Faith.

Jesus Sends His Disciples.

The Father looks on his beloved Son -
My son in whom I take delight,
formed from the depths of my heart you are
The apple of my eye, filled with my might.
My son, born to be crowned a king
To move in full authority
To speak my word and walk my commands
Scepter and ring are in your hands.

Stand tall, my Son; call not retreat.
Trample the enemy under your feet.
For you have my power; you have my sword
You have my covering; I am your Lord.
Come here, draw close and listen to me;
Hear me tell of our victory.
The picture I form is within your head;
Trust what I give you; remember I’ve said
You’re the head, not the tail,
You’re the first, not the last.
Look to my coming; forget what is past.

My blood covers over; you’re free to begin.
Discover the calling I’ve placed within.
Rise up and follow; it’s time that we start
To gather together those near to my heart.
Gather together: invite them all in.
Tell them my story: I deliver from sin.
Tell them I love them; show them my love.
Tell them I’m coming soon from above.
Tell them I love them; tell them I’m coming,
Tell them, tell them, O Son of my love.

From Liturgy to Life

My Search for God, or Vice Versa....

Jesus with his Disciples

God's calling of the human spirit can be a series of steps. That's why we call him “The Hound of Heaven” <www.houndsofheaven.com/thepoem.htm> as described in the famous poem by Francis Thompson, 1859-1907.

I fled Him, down the nights and down the days;
I fled Him, down the arches of the years;
I fled Him, down the labyrinthine ways
Of my own mind....

It's to God's Glory that he relentlessly pursues us. At the age of eight, I was the littlest altar boy. I bowed and touched my forehead all the way to the first altar step as I clearly and piously recited the Latin my father taught me.

"Introibo ad altare Dei, ad Deum qui laetificat juventutem meam" (Ps 42:4). And I will go to the altar of God: to God who gives joy to my youth.

At the age of fourteen, I picked up an old Douay Rheims Bible and began reading from Genesis. By the time I made it to Joshua, I prayed and gave my life to the Lord. I found the Bible fascinating and spiritually powerful.

At the age of eighteen I enjoyed worshiping privately in my room near my window with no one else knowing. I discovered “God's Grandeur” <www.sparknotes.com/poetry/hopkins/section1.html> as described by Gerard Manley Hopkins (1877).

The world is charged with the grandeur of God.
It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;
It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil
Crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod?

Suddenly, deep in prayer, I broke into a strange language with strange sounds. I had no idea what this meant. I suppressed it, but many years later I discovered it was the Holy Spirit's gift of tongues.

In our early days of marriage and walking in the Lord, I remember my new wife, Mary, experienced the frustrations of rote religion. She strongly proclaimed to one Monsignor:

There has to be something more!”

She was right, and God soon brought the Gift to us. As a young couple, Mary's friend, a former coed from Syracuse University, came to visit us on the first three days of the New Year, 1973. She excitedly told us all about the Holy Spirit and the miracle working power of Jesus in believers lives. We stayed up until 3:00 am each night listening amazed in our living room to the wonderful wonders of God.

This young lady discovered I related to Jesus only as my friend. She instructed me on the importance of Jesus' atoning sacrifice for my sins. As I raised my arms to Heaven, this beautiful girl led me in the prayer of salvation for repentance and trust in Jesus, not just as my friend, but as my Savior.

Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins and give myself to you, past, present, and future.
I thank you for suffering on the Cross and shedding your blood for me that I can belong to You and the Father, forever.”

My dear wife, Mary, strongly insisted we visit a prayer meeting. She started both of us on a path to receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit that year. I'm so grateful to my wife for walking with me together as a couple to seek the Glories of God.

I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6 NIV).

Rules of Love

How should we love our spouse, our family, our acquaintances, indeed all mankind?

How then should we love? (Bill Hunt c 2011)

How then should we love? The 2nd Great Commandment expresses the rule of love for relationships. “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The Golden Rule, “Do to others as you would have them do to you,” pretty well gives us a concept on how this should function. However, 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 (NIV) gives us the details, the Rules of Love.

Love is patient. I will calmly wait and endure a situation even if it inconvenient, without complaining.

Love is kind. I will be considerate, warm, generous, sensitive, and understanding toward others. This is an expression of love suiting all relations in society with or without intimacy.

It does not envy. I will not be jealous of, nor covet another person's benefits, friends, or possessions. In fact, I will rejoice for his good fortune.

It does not boast. I will not brag or talk with pride about my accomplishments, performance, or other benefits. In fact, silence is best. Let others proclaim your deeds, my dad always said.

It is not proud. I will not consider myself with undo merit above others, nor express myself in such a way. I know my strengths are counterbalanced by my weaknesses. Of all things I do know or accomplish, there are far more I don't.

It is not rude. I will not consider or treat others with contempt or disdain. There is much hidden value in every person. Therefore, I will treat all others with respect.

It is not self-seeking. Every baby is born with a give-me attitude for survival. I realize the noble measure of adult maturity is rather giving, self-sacrificing, and promoting the benefit of others. “For in giving, we receive.”

It is not easily angered. Anger is an emotion of defense that can be justified or not. Expressing wrath in relationships can be devastating. In fact, the scripture calls it murder. In relationships, the advice to never let the sun set on your anger is best. Your relation needs peace, but so do you.

It keeps no record of wrongs. Forgiveness is the key to relationship. And forgiveness works if it is unconditional. It matters not one speck who is at fault or who offended first. The first one to heart-fully forgive wins! When one repents, God himself perfectly forgives and perfectly forgets. No one who fails to forgive can be admitted to eternal life.

Love does not delight in evil. Bless and do not curse. Never take the side of evil and sin. God can allow no evil or sin in his presence. The redeeming sacrifice of Jesus for us was the greatest act of love. “Never let the sin in others or the sin in yourself defeat you.”

But rejoices with the truth. God is Truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. God calls us to rejoice in all things. We can do this because he is the Beginning and End of all things. No other standard will stand before him. And Joy is such a key to successful relationship!

Paul summarizes the function of Love.
“It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

Miracle Lightning Strike!

God's ways are wondrous: witness to a foreign visitor, protected in a lightning strike, and a new baby prophesied.

God Protects even from a Lightning Strike!

Can you witness to someone who speaks another language? Dark haired and dark eyed, this striking uniformed woman entered the crowded gift shop in Central Florida. The Hebrew on her uniform told me she was a traveling Israeli Army officer. An elderly American couple accompanied her. When I greeted the strangers by the impulse of the Holy Spirit, the elderly Christian woman explained she personally never took the opportunity to witness Christ to her Hebrew friend. They met her in Israel.

I saw this as a divine appointment from the Lord. Since, the officer did not speak English, I witnessed to her in the only words of Hebrew I knew. "Baruch a shem Adonoi. Yeshua ha Meshiah." "Blessed be the name of the Lord God. Jesus the Messiah."

I showed her a gold Star of David
I wore around my neck.

At this, the pretty officer beamed a big smile and gave me a nice hug. Her Christian lady friend now pulled a Hebrew New Testament out of her purse and handed it to me. The officer, not a Christian, autographed the book in Hebrew. "Next year in Jerusalem!" she wrote. It is the Israeli war cry.

My family and I had moved to Central Florida to Marion County. I found work in public relations, which helped me to familiarize with the area and the people. As a family, we also worked together to deliver newspapers by car, taking turns. Monica rode with her mother to throw newspapers, or Brian rode with his dad. It was actually good family time.

Early one morning in the dark, a horrible rainstorm with strong crashes of thunder and flashes of lightning poured down on us. To deliver newspapers at a large apartment complex on our route, I pulled the station wagon in to a parking place under a big, spreading oak tree.

Immediately, the Spirit impressed me
strongly in my heart to move the car!

The warning came a second time. I remembered how I had come to suffer two weeks of poison oak all over my face once in the past when I did not heed such a spiritual warning. So, I obeyed. I backed the car out and parked in another space up the line. Flashes of lightning illuminated the scene.

I delivered newspapers on foot around the twenty-one apartments and then returned to the parking lot. There, in the parking space I vacated now lay half of the huge spreading oak tree. A lightning strike split the big tree and knocked it down! If I had remained parked there, my car would have been crushed and Brian injured. For the rest of the newspaper run, my son and I praised God together for the saving miracle.

The pregnancy of our last baby took Mary quite by surprise, or maybe I should say more, by shock. "We just weren't established!" said Mary. "I had to work, and it seemed like it must be the wrong time for a baby. We were still new to Florida. A baby was the furthest thing from my mind. I really felt sick during my early pregnancy.”

I was five or six months along by the time we moved to Ocala. We wanted trees and grass, something that was more familiar to us,” said Mary. We moved to Silver Springs Woods in the very green Ocala National Forest. Mary had not yet seen a doctor.

"The baby you are carrying is a boy,
and his name is Daniel,"

In our new church there was a young couple who invited us for dinner. During prayer, this young woman suddenly prophesied a sign from God, that what was happening to us was truly his hand. "The baby you are carrying is a boy, and his name is Daniel," she said. “The name Daniel means God has judged."

Later, the weather was very hot and Mary was very uncomfortable wondering what day the baby would come. Three weeks before the birth, Dad prophesied the baby would be born on October 20th. This gave Mary comfort. It turned out to be a Saturday morning at Monroe Regional Hospital. Daniel was born soon after noontime following just an hour and a half of labor. He's been a servant of the Lord, ever since. God has his hands on the daily lives of men.
