Thomas Jefferson Stated His Faith

A true Statesman is a politician of integrity, a cut above the rest, beyond the tongues of those who smear him.

In the thick of party conflict in 1800, Thomas Jefferson wrote in a private letter, "I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man." <http://www.whitehouse.gov/about/presidents/thomasjefferson>

Thomas Jefferson

SIGNER OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE; DIPLOMAT; GOVERNOR OF VIRGINIA; SECRETARY OF STATE; THIRD PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

The doctrines of Jesus are simple, and tend all to the happiness of man.64

The practice of morality being necessary for the well being of society, He [God] has taken care to impress its precepts so indelibly on our hearts that they shall not be effaced by the subtleties of our brain. We all agree in the obligation of the moral principles of Jesus and nowhere will they be found delivered in greater purity than in His discourses.65

I am a Christian in the only sense in which He wished anyone to be: sincerely attached to His doctrines in preference to all others.66

I am a real Christian – that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus Christ.67

Voluntarily, I recommend, learn the truth about Thomas Jefferson. Don't miss David Barton's new book.
The Jefferson Lies: Exposing the Myths You've Always Believed About Thomas Jefferson (Hardback from Wall Builders).

Today, we are besieged by a leader who falsely leads, whose every word is a contradiction in turn, whose plots are secret and deceptive. Who was raised as a Muslim in a strong Communist family. Whose political philosophy originated in satanic worship (per the book Marx & Satan by Richard Wurmbrand) <www.VOMbooks.com>, and who has the ultimate goal of socialistic tyranny and destruction.

Today, more than ever, we need to look to leaders who believe in American Freedom, including worship and work, as outlined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Leaders, who dare to stand for right, who speak forthrightly, who do not change to meet prevailing political correctness, who have solid integrity, and are men and women of God.

Sudan Christian Loses Wife and Children

Faith in Christ leads judge to annul marriage, forbid seeing kids.

KHARTOUM, Sudan, June 19 (Compass Direct News) - A year ago Mohammed Khidir Khalil was glad his family had obtained refugee status in Egypt after fleeing Islamic hostilities in Sudan. The 38-year-old Christian was also heartened that his formerly unbelieving wife was attending church with him.

Today the convert from Islam is back in Sudan fighting to recover his family after his in-laws compelled his wife to return to Sudan, claiming she was Muslim and divorce him. A Sudanese court automatically granted her custody of their two sons and forbade him to see them, he said.

The couple had fled Sudan just before the South Sudan vote for independence on Jan. 9, 2011, after threats from the couples' Muslim families and others intensified, Khalil said. He fears that if he persists in his legal battle, he faces the threat of being accused of "apostasy," or leaving Islam.

In spite of the court's ruling that Khalil did not have a right to even visit the children, in April he decided to try to see them. His former wife's family threatened to call police if he persisted.

"I am very upset with courts like this that bar one from seeing one's children," he said. "I have to appeal against this.

"They might take the case to a prosecution court, which might lead to my sentencing to death according to Islamic apostasy law - but I am ready for this," Khalil said. "I want the world to know this. What crime have I done? Is it because I became a Christian? I know if the world is watching, they will be afraid to do any harm to me."

GOD's Angels are with us

GOD's Angels protect us, warn us, and inform us.

The Mysterious Stranger

In Pakistan, after I had carelessly encountered a snake charmer's black cobra face to face with my camera and prayed to escape with my life, I stood up, safe. At that moment, a handsome Pakistani in his thirties stepped forward and spoke to me.
"Are you married, Sahib?"
"Am I married?  No!"
I wondered what he wanted.

"Do you have a photograph of your lady friend, right now?" he asked. So I reluctantly pulled out a wallet portrait.
"This girl is not the girl you will marry!" he stated.
"No, the girl you will marry has brown hair like this one, but she is taller. In fact, you have already met her. Where does this one live?"
"On Long Island, New York," I said.

"The girl you will marry does not live there," he said.  "She lives up, further north."
"My parents live in Maine." I tested him by giving leading information.
"No, she is not from Maine," he said. "Where have you just come from?"
 "Upstate New York."
"Yes!" he said, "she is there.
“You have already seen her. She lives there, way up, in Upstate New York, farther north. That is the woman you will marry, but not this one, Sahib.” I offered rupees to test him.

“No Sahib! Not rupees. I just wanted you to know."

I had no idea who this man was, or whether I should consider anything he said. He did not seem ominous.
I looked down at the snake charmer and raised my head again to look at the stranger. He wasn't there! He had vanished!

A year later, I met the girl he described in the place he foretold. He spoke a true word. She would, indeed, become my wife. But that's another story.

Angel in the Office

I temporarily worked in a quasi-government office where two employees for a whole year expressed a continual agenda toward me. To this day, I still have no idea as to why. I realized the problem was theirs, not mine.

They slandered me to the program's officers, but being a new employee I was never consulted by those in authority. For the final month, the atmosphere became very heavy. I surrendered myself to the hands of God whom I serve. Still I was not consulted. I prayed and waited.

One afternoon, while sitting at my desk, I could feel a presence. Suddenly, there was a flash of bright light in which stood an angel about nine feet tall. He spoke.

“Abba, Daddy God, wants you to know He is with you.”

And the angel vanished, leaving me with faith in his heavenly assurance. I was dismissed from the office to do other things for God. But not before I called for a state appeal, which exonerated me as being dismissed without just cause.

Angels in the Thunderstorm

Writing one of my articles for God, I heard a noisy thunderstorm approaching from the west. Out my window facing, I could see the dark black clouds approaching. Suddenly, as I typed on my computer, I felt the presence of two angels behind my left shoulder. One leaned toward my ear.

“Satan doesn't like what you are doing. He is bringing that thunderstorm upon you,” said one.
“He plans to throw a thunder bolt at you,” said the other.

I immediately thought of Jesus at rest in the boat during the storm on the Sea of Galilee.

But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?" (Mark 4:40 NKJV).

I am going to keep on writing my article, I thought. In a direct hit, the thunder bolt like a bomb blast shook my house and somewhat stunned me.

Our phone lines and some equipment needed to be replaced. However, my wife felt it was time to switch to wireless, and so we upgraded to fast data service. The new equipment turned out to be a wonderful blessing in writing for God. Satan, you know, always overplays his hand.

Yes, the angels are with us.
